Ingredients for the Fish Sandwich:

  • 1 salmon fillet (150-200 grams)
  • 2 slices of whole grain or rye bread
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of cream cheese (optional, can use mustard or herb cream cheese)
  • 2-3 slices of avocado
  • 1-2 slices of tomato
  • A few leaves of fresh arugula or lettuce
  • A pinch of salt and pepper
  • A few drops of fresh lemon juice

Preparation Steps:

  1. Cooking the Salmon: Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. When the pan is hot, add the salmon fillets and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side. The salmon should flake easily with a fork when cooked.

  2. Preparing the Bread: Lightly toast the two slices of bread to give your sandwich a crispy texture.

  3. Assembling the Sandwich: Spread cream cheese on one slice of bread. Carefully place the salmon fillet on top.

  4. Adding the Vegetables: Top the salmon with avocado, tomato slices, and arugula or lettuce leaves. You can also drizzle a few drops of fresh lemon juice on top.

  5. Finishing the Sandwich: Place the other slice of bread on top to complete the sandwich. Optionally, cut it in half for easier serving.
